    Ms. Hoeltzel runs a highly successful private studio. As a native Texan and former Texas All-State Choir member herself, Ms. Hoeltzel is very familiar with preparing students for the All-State audition process, and with choir programs in the Houston area. In her lessons, Ms. Hoeltzel specializes in auditions and college preparation for her students. Students will learn the basics of vocal technique, sight-singing, and music theory. Her students have been selected for the TMEA All-­State Choir, chosen for select internationally travelling choirs, and have been offered over $40,000 in college scholarships for music. 

 

    Ms. Hoeltzel is highly qualified as a music educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University in Applied Music, with extra coursework in Secondary Music Methods to improve her skills in teaching. She also holds a dual master's degree from the University of Houston in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy, the study of the art and science of vocal instruction. Students in the Pedagogy program assist with research studies conducted by the Voice Department, teach undergraduate students as a professor through the school, and even teach undergraduate courses. She is also certified to teach EC-12 Music in the state of Texas. 

 

Ms. Hoeltzel is also available as a private contractor for performances at weddings, funerals, and other various events. She is well-versed in a variety of genres, including musical theater, classical, & cabaret. Please email via the Contact page for details and pricing.
